Announcements:
- All of the group web projects are now posted and available for review. Follow the instructions for the Peer Review and Participation evaluation, and submit these either by email or on paper by Friday.
- Any work that you want graded needs to be turned in by this Friday (last day of class).
- I
will revise the course grades posted on Blackboard before Friday so
that you can know where you stand going into the final exam.
- Our final exam is scheduled for 8:00 am on Friday, May 2.
If you intend to take this exam at another time, you first need to get
a permission slip from your academic dean, and then make arrangements with me to take this exam.
- I have arranged a tour of UNC's cogeneration system for tomorrow (Thursday) from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Meet in the Cogen conference room.
Assignments:
- Read Chapter 18 and answer the recommended homework questions.
- For 2 days worth of class participation (extra) credit, you are
encouraged to create your own personal website in your UNC server space
(www.unc.edu/~onyen). This website does not have to be anything fancy,
just something other than the current default message that appears for
a blank webpage. Once you have completed this task, send
me your URL.
Exam 3 - review
- Here is how the class performed on Exam 3:
- Mean = 79% on MC section (compared to 67% on Exam 1, and 68%
on Exam 2)
- High = 96% on MC section (compared to 84% on Exam 1 and 86%
on Exam 2)
- Low = 50% (Random guessing = 27%)
- Std. Dev. = 11%
- If you filled in your PID on the Scantron form, you should be
able to access your MC score via the ONYEN
or Student Central
websites.
- Answers: B, C, B, A, C, A, A, B, D, A, C, C, A, B, D, C, B, D, D, C, A, A, A, B, A, D, C, C
- If you accidently filled in the wrong bubble on your answer
sheet, and you wrote sufficient justification for the correct answer on
your test papers, then write a note to this effect on the top of your
exam so that you can get credit for your explanation.
-
Because the class average was what I expected, I will not have you
submit your test corrections for extra credit as on the previous two
exams. However, I still encourage you to review this exam on
your
own or with someone else as you prepare for the final exam.
