Reserving a seminar room (258, 277, etc.)

These rooms are reserved using a book kept in the main office (room 272). We have adopted a set of priorities to guide use of the rooms, although in the case of conflicts, we encourage informal resolutions. If office staff must determine whose request has higher priority, we will rely on the following.

1. Regularly scheduled seminars with speakers.
2. Teleconferences and videoconferences.
3. Group meetings. These include regular ones or episodic ones centered around special visitors such as program managers, architects, etc.
4. Informal meetings among faculty and students. These may be formally scheduled if one wishes to help secure the room's use.
