Who are we?

We are some 60-80 motivated individuals studying physics and astronomy at UNC Chapel Hill. Half of us earn living by teaching undergraduate labs and tutoring; the other half gets paid to do research. Handful of students secure other sources of income.

Our Mission

We exist to oppose the department's natural tendency to reduce our rights. More specifically: our purpose is to address issues, implement rules, policies, coordinate events somehow related to the graduate population of the Physics Department. An election is held every year raising few of those scientists to the ranks of officers.
