Spring 2009 Nuclear Physics Seminars
UNC
Nuclear Physics Seminars are held Monday afternoons
from 12:00-13:00 in room 277.
Anyone interested in the subject matter is encouraged to attend. Speakers
should present material at a level which will be easily understood by
beginning graduate students and non-experts in the field. Topics are not
limited to the speaker's research projects.
As a guideline, talks should be approximately 30 minutes long. Any
remaining time will be used for group discussion and updates on research
projects. There are also group sessions scheduled in which everyone is
invited to give a short, 2-3 minute update on their own research.
There is a UNC nuclear physics email list that relays information
about weekly seminars, holiday parties, summer softball and picnics.
If you would like to be added to or removed from this list, or if
you have comments or suggestions, please contact Charles Arnold
