Research

The biological physicists in the Department of Physics & Astronomy work on a variety of problems. The Superfine group studies the mechanical and surface biochemical properties of biological materials using cutting edge atomic force microscopy and nanomanipulation. In the Tiesinga group the biophysics of cortical information processing is investigated theoretically.
