Octahedra and monodromy for D-branes
Lines of marginal stability for D-branes can appear to end at smooth points in the moduli space. This would lead to ambiguity in statements about stability. We show how a fearsome thing known as the "octahedral axiom" rescues us. We then derive Kontsevich's conjecture for monodromy of D-branes on the quintic.
