The story: In the days following the birth, daddy got to see Maggie while visiting Jalene in the hospital. Eventually, it was time to take her home with us. After some squirming, we were able to get Maggie dressed in her special hat and booties. These were hand woven by my mother's grandmother and were worn by my mother's mother and my mother on their trip home from the hospital. There's a matching sweater, but Maggie was a bit too squirmy to get it on her. After getting her in her carseat, it was time to go. Maggie and Jalene were discharged from Durham Regional Hospital at roughly Noon on February 24th.

That weekend, the grandparents arrived. These are my parents, Steve and Linda Pohl from Lexington, Kentucky. Their visit was alot of fun, and Grandma and Grandpa were extatic to meet their new granddaughter. After all the excitement, daddy and Maggie were finally able to get some sleep.
