Preparing for Exam 1
Questions
Most exam questions will be structured like the Review Questions in the
textbook.
I'll give you space for an answer of a few lines. I suggest that you
read & reflect on these
questions, as well as on the Discussion Questions; I will use
a few of these in the exam.
Although my lecture notes are the basis of this course, you are also
responsible for the following
Textbook Reading
Chapter 1: all sections including boxes. I didn't discuss exponential notation
or the small
angle formula, but expect you to master this on
your own.
Chapter 2: all sections except box 2-4
Chapter 3: all sections except box 3-2
Chapter 4: all sections except box 4-1 & last example in
box 4-2
Chapter 5: sections 5-1 to 5-7, boxes 5-1 to 5-4
Chapter 9: section 9-4 & box 9-2 only
