This guide is intended to help you construct your own working model atomic force microscope. The model is constructed mostly from LEGO Mindstorms 2.0 building blocks. The Mindstorms set is more complex than regular LEGOs, in that it comes with its own programmable computer and programming language as well as motors and two types of sensors. With these as your tools, you can let your imagination run wild with all the different robotic designs you can think of.
