Surprisingly enough, I've never been to this Mini-Mecca either
  

KIRKWOOD

  

  

     Conquered Peaks:

  

  1)     

Still legendary for both terrible weather and sick sick rocks -- Mammoth!
  2)     

Amazing off-piste runs, hidden rocks and hidden virgin powder -- Sugarbowl at Tahoe!
  3)     

Even when only the bottom third of this baby is open, you still can ski new runs all day, and break every bone if you're not careful -- Squaw Valley!
  4)     

Not much of a mountain, but damn! some nice jumps in the freestyle park -- Snow Summit, Big Bear!

A pretty cool mountain, and off-trail Munchkins is kickass -- Alpine Meadows!

Mos def not the best Utah has to offer, but passable -- BrianHead!
  7)     

Small, way overcrowded, and with too many asshole LA boarders, but a few OK jumps here and there -- Mountain High!

Maybe not the worst mountain here, but waaay overpriced and way overgroomed, not to mention overdone and overly self-important -- Heavenly!
