PROMPT Summer Fellowship Program

APPLICATION
Funded by an NSF CAREER grant, undergraduates at PROMPT Collaboration institutions other than UNC-Chapel Hill are invited to apply for a PROMPT Summer Fellowship. Two PROMPT Fellows will be selected to work with Prof. Dan Reichart's gamma-ray burst group at UNC-Chapel Hill for 12 weeks each summer. This group is building the six 16-inch diameter PROMPT telescopes in Chile, and has access to 24-inch Morehead in Chapel Hill, 4.1-meter SOAR in Chile, 9.2-meter (effective diameter) SALT in South Africa, and leads the Follow-Up Network for Gamma-Ray Bursts and the Skynet Robotic Telescope Network.
