How to put presentations into your folder
From a physics machine:
- Go to My Computer, P:/zhou/www/private/presentations/(your folder name)
- Rename your file to reflect the presentation date and topic you discussed (ex. 2006-06-05APLpaperreview)
- Drag and drop your file into the folder
If your computer is not set up for that and you're on a physics machine:
- Click the little lock icon at the bottom of your screen- this is the AFS Client
- Click the tab that says 'Drive Letters'
- Click 'Add...' and choose a drive letter, such as Drive P:
- In the AFS Path window, type \afs\physics.unc.edu\project\zhou\www
- Leave the restore window checked and click OK
- You should now have a icon for our web directory listed under My Computer
- Now proceed with step 1, above
If you are on a computer without the AFS Client:
- You can install the AFS client yourself (Control Panel- Add or Remove Programs- Add a new program- Open AFS for windows)
- make sure to get tokens from physics, not UNC or anywhere else
- then add all the drives as you like
- You can also access the project space via FTP or SCP (more secure).
