Will Rice
Graduate Student
Will's research is focused on magnetotransport measurements of novel magnetic materials as part of a collaborative effort with the Center for Molecular Spintronics.  Specific projects are developing a nanoscale spin valve structure in a joint research project with UNC Chemistry Professor Wei You's research group and measurement of spin-transport behavior of valence tautomers in collaboration with NC State Chemistry Professor David Shultz .

Dmitry Spivak
Graduate Student
Dmitry is making device structures using photolithographic fabrication.

Matthew Wolboldt
Graduate Student
Matthew Wolboldt's current projects include MBE growth and lithographic fabrication at Duke University's SMIF Facility.  He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2003.

Recent Alumni

Liang He
Postdoc
Liang's research focused on novel MBE synthesis and characterization of magnetic thin films and heterostructures for the science and technology of spintronics. He received PhD in physics in 2005 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently at UCLA.

Brian Collins
Graduate Student
Brian received his PhD in 2009 for his research in structural and magnetic characterization of combinatorial MBE-produced magnetic thin films via synchrotron x-ray techniques with the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. He is currently a post-doc at NC State in Professor Harald Ade's research group.
